A 1,500s.f. barn for the Cortleyou farm stores farming equipment and contains a workshop. Reclaimed cedar wood siding and fieldstone was quarried from the area to attempt to match fieldstone used on the original home. A hot-water radiant concrete slab was installed. With the help of the owner, the barn was sited and sized so that it would not overwhelm the house but be close enough and large enough to be practical.
